She mentioned that she's used public transportation and friends, but darn, that's still nuts anywhere outside a very major city

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (demon_fox @ Nov 9 2006, 10:44 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>welcome to te site.. post pics of you and your ride. so how far are you from the states?</div>

I'm about 2 hours from the border.

And, to further the "no car" debate - I just never needed one - high school I used one of my parents' cars - thank god! living in a rural area and no car = bad news.

Then I moved to Toronto and relied on their oh-so-crappy transit system. Shortly thereafter, found a boy who had a car and used his. Now that I live in the 'burbs I needed one of my own, and that's the whole story.

My grandpa in New York has not had a car for 20 years. So it not that different.

BTW I got a set of rear smoked covers (unused) for RD1. Ill let go cheap fing02.gif.
They look great on black cars.

New York is a lot different with it's extensive public transportation network. A car is more of a liability then an asset there...
