Hi Everyone! I'm a 29 year old female and I just bought my very first car, a 1998 black Tib, as well as my very first stick shift (so if you happen to be driving around the GTA and get stuck behind a stalled Tib - it's probably me!). Um, it's pretty much a plain old car - no modifications, but it runs well.
I'm looking forward to visiting the site often for tips, and helpful hints - in fact if anyone has any advice for a new owner and anything to do with things I should be doing right away on a used vehicle, that would be great!

Hey, welcome to the site!
got any pics of your new car?
First thing I would do on your car is a fresh oil change - then follow regular maintenance - now you have a starting point.
also, how many kms on your car right now?

Welcome!! Great intro, and it's good do have more of the female population on here!
Post some pics of your ride too.
Things you will want to do is replace all fluids, check brakes, tires, plugs, etc. etc.
Other than that, keep up regular maintenance, and you should be fine!

Thanks, everyone!
No pics yet - hopefully by this weekend - after I can give it a good wash. It has 170k on it - I'm the third owner of my little beauty.
And, I made it all this time without a car relying on public transit, and relying on the kindness of strangers.
