Actually us up here in Canada got the 2.0 in the SE. I had a 97 FX and it had the 1.8. It's a little different up here. Every one I've spoken to has been surprised that I have a 98 SE as well.

If I'm not mistaken the Canadian GK's came with the Tuscani badges from the dealer. I just saw one the other day, totally stock but with Tuscani badge, and I've read it elsewhere. It's EFF'D up all over the world. The european tibs got rear fogs and the 1.8 MAP sensor. Same with Austrailia.

Ok, here's the dealio.

Nav- Look at your autopac registration, it'll say FX, but it's a SE model.
All our (Canada) 8-99's had 2.0, no 1.8's not even the FX's

By mid 98, they came out with the SE package. Basically only 2 options when you got the SE. Leather and Color.
There are a few "base" ones around, still 2.0, but not badged SE. Some badge FX, some with nothing.

Both dealerships here both mostly SE's because when you added the packages of air, cruise, rear discs,... etc It was WAY more than if you were to buy a SE.

So yeah Nav you have a SE, With the funky metalic dark silver dash interior. Personally I HATED that color. I would so rather have the black. That "ZH" color code looked more like an olive green to me. I painted mine very shortly afterwards.

Anyway, long story short, you don't have a FX, you have a SE. Hyundai was too lazy to inform autopac.
BTW, just outta curiousity, which dealership did you take your car to get fixed? If it was Wpg Hyundai, they farm it out next door. I forget what the shop is called.

My car has a leather interior, air conditioning, cruise control, the interior is black for the most part, can't even remember if the console is dark silver or black though. It was actually from quebec originally. My dad's friend got it for me from a dealer auction (not sure exactly where), and he sold it to me at cost a few years back. It was used when I got it.

I took my car to focus hyundai (on regent). Well it was towed there, the hood was jammed shut and the battery connectors had come loose ( i could see the battery wasn't hooked up through the side of the hood), autopac said not to touch it or else i woulda pried my hood open. Focus hyundai weren't that great a place to get the work done though, their are 'missed' spots when they painted. Like, the edges, on the fender near the wheel well, their is like a 1cm circle that was missed when they painted, one of the mechanics gouged the bumper with a screwdriver after it was painted.

Maybe,... hehe I'm In parts on the dealership side,.. your car's silver eh?
I didn't do your the autopac sheets for that one. It's weird that they would of given you a FX decal.
Argh, it's stuff like that (not knowing better and just going by the autopac sheets) that I don't like.

Anyway, it's gotten alot better than before. Oh yeah, I have NO control of what goes on in that bodyshop. If I do, things would change, even more so. But the new bodyshop mgr is ALOT better than before.
Trust me.
But if you have any issues, just let Chris know, he'll fix em

Kewl kewl.
Chris is a really nice guy, but he comes from GM, so he still has a little bit to learn about Hyundais, where as I pretty much Hyundai, is all I know tongue.gif

I do remember seeing the car there a couple of weeks back when I dropped off parts. I looked at your car briefly, they color matched not too bad, that's a good start.

well, they painted pretty much the whole car, the roof and doors, and trim around the doors is only stuff they didn't paint. The colors matched well, I couldn't really notice the difference.
