Good point, I'll see if I can fix that.

Ehhh, not really. LOL

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>How is it ridiculously big?
The filter's about the same size as what I see on other's cars.</div>

That filter is HUGE, way too big, but the biggest problem is that it's attached directly to the MAF. The MAF needs UNTURBULENT air to work correctly. You are definately missing out on some gains there, or more stable engine running.

Also, with how huge that filter is, it's crushing your intake elbow, further restricting flow.

Get a EBAY CAI for cheap, it's better than what you have on my friend.

Really?
I work over in Blue Bell, PA and there's another one in the parking lot.

In fact, I pass 2 or 3 of them (parked in the same spots) on Rt 73 on my way to/from work.
(All nicer than mine) 02.gif

I definately only started noticing them since I bought mine. I usually see a different one every day while driving around. My wife is starting to get annoyed with my constantly pointing out other "L-Wagons'

Before I got one I never saw them, but they're actually everywhere!

I got to the track tonite.

I wanted to do a back to back comparison of the Ghetto WAI vs. the stock airbox, but it was crowded so I wasn't able to switch back like I wanted to, but I ran a 17.5 @ 78.66 and a 17.4 @ 79. Both with pretty pathetic 2.5xx 60' times. That was pretty much what I was expecting, so I'm not disappointed.

So now I've got a baseline to go against for future mods. After I fix the WAI install, I plan to do a full exhaust. First just muffler, then cat-back w/ glasspack, then hi-flow cat (and a test pipe), then (if I can find a cheap used one) a header install.

Oh, newbie question.
Besides the weight difference, are there major differences between the same model year Tib vs. Elantra? I know the longer wheelbase is a negative factor for the Elantra and, from what I gather from the 'net, there's a 200lb weight difference, but are the trannys geared differently or anything?

Thanks for the welcomes!
