I just got my cold air intake and i almost have it installed but i ran into a problem. The filter on the end hit the thing up front that sucks in the air to the stock intake. Can i just take this out or what. To take it out do i have to take the battery out first, because i dont think it will come up with it there. I just need some help because i have no idea what i am doing
thanks a lot

Yeah you can take that thing out. I dont think you have to take the battery out. Which intake did you get?

I got a Mugen one of Ebay. All i want for now since i am going turbo this summer. But I just dont see how to take that thing off. I unscrewed it and everything and it still hits the bottom of the batter case. I guess it is just a thing to get more air to the stock intake right? But if you can help me out on how to get the d*** thing off that would be great smile.gif

Mugen? WTF? Is it made for the car? Because that might be why its not fitting right. Mugen = Honda parts

I know with the AEM you have to take the battery out and then the thing slides under it.

And you can take that thing out. You just gotta put effort into it. I think we ended up just ripping it out.

Yeah it is made for our car. It was only like $40. I just wanted to make sure that thing could come out and see how it came out. After that i know it will fit. So thanks everyone

If your talking about the resonator... there are two bolts below the battery. You can get one of the bolts from in front of the resonator and one from behind (hard to get to, but it IS possible without removing the battery). And as Tibby01 said, take it out through the bottom of the car.
