Noo... don't rip it out! It deserves better than that smile.gif Its been my most worthy adversary versus my sockets and wrenches in my car modification quest. lol.gif

Hmm... I wonder how your turbo is going to go if you can't remove the stock airbox laugh.gif Just remove the 10mm bolts and take it off. You don't need to remove the battery. If you got off the resonator (thing that looks like an uber-grenade) the air duct is the easy part. Only two bolts, right on top of the hood. The resonator has four bolts, one of which is a pain in the ass and one that it helps if you jack up the car.

at most, all you need are some socket extensions.

now changing the damn fuel filter. that pig f***er was a worthy adversary.

The resonator has feelings you know. 02.gif Tibby01, It wasn't really hard to take out, just took 10 minutes of my time better spent elsewhere. Its the hardest bolt I've encountered on the Tibby so far.

I GOT IT!!!!! i just took the bolts off by the battery and took the top of it off and now the CAI fits perfect. It sounds pretty good too. It will do just fine until the summer when i go turbo. Thanks for all your help.

sounds good man. i did what tibbychick did, i just sorta ripped it out, pried on it a little..and then got out my hammer...to whom ive named.."the Pursuader" ithink i spelled that right..
