1.8 2.0 Headers The Same?

stupid new guy here, are the 1.8 and 2.0 motor the same for bolt on parts? if I buy header or cold air kit for my 1997 1.89 will the parts off a 2.0 fit?

As for your question - yes 1.8 and 2.0 headers are the same.

of course they will. welcome to rdtiburon. please hook us up with pics of your tiburon and a little 'bout yourself.

yeah i remember when i used to think of the tiburon as one whole car until i got my hands dirty. all it is is parts and parts bolted on together. headers are just tubing specially bent for the engine's holes and a cold air intake is just piping with a filter on it that bends around certain corners of the car for it to fit.

when manufacturers make their cars you gotta understand that it would save them money and time if 90% of the parts per model were exactly the same. they can be interchangeable, salvigeable (junkyards make money off of it), there can be masses of the same product made (cam for example) which can fit two different years and facelifts of cars.

how much fuel capacity an engine takes has absolutely nothing to do with the exhaust and intake system because they're differen sections. i'm sure you know all this, but like ignition would have nothing to do with oxygen sensors because they're two totally different functions.
