Default What the hell is valet mode?

Just got a new viper alarm installed and I was going through the manual. It says it has valet mode but theres no explanation as to what it is or how to operate it. Anyone here know what it is?

Usually there's a button under the dash somewhere.

valet mode is a mode that you can activate such that when somebody else drives the car it is restricted
typically the rpm limit on valet mode is low....like 3000rpm

its called such that valets dont go joy riding when they park customers cars

i know some guys here in Aus with hipo skylines that have a valet mode on their alarm...that has to be deactivated b4 driving
so even if somebody steals the car and bypasses the alarm, they cant drive very far/fast thanks to valet mode

Usually it's a mode that just locks/unlocks the doors without arming the alarm. At least from the alarms I've had.
