Default what could it be?

Ok brief story on my problem.

Had alt wine in my system. Fixed the ground on the battery and fixed the ground on my entire system. sanded down etc....

still had wine. rca's were really long and not shielded well so i bought new ones. shielded alot better and shorter so no crimps or anything.

turned on the system and my component set had this horrible noise and sound coming out. like something out of "Contact" or something

thought maybe rca's were bad for that amp. switched them around. nope not the rca's. thought maybe the speakers. hooked them up to my other amp. nope not the speakers. well then it has to be the amp.

so how can my amp mess up when i did nothing different except change the rca's?

and why do i still have wine with the new rca's and ground is good on the bat, deck, amps etc...??

What kind of sprak plug wires do you have? I know sometimes if you don't have quality wires, you can get feedback in your stereo system. dunno

Are you running everything down one side? The RCAs should be run opposite the power because it will pick up the noise from the power wire and send it to the amplifier where it will be amplified and reproduced through your speakers. Running everything down one side is generally the cause for alternator whine.

if its the sound of feedback then its probablly either your rcas or you remote wire...if its your remote wire try either fusing it if you havnt already or tap into the antenna wire in the back of the head unit.

yeah before i bought the new rca's the power wire was down the center and the rca's on the passenger side. before that the power wire was on the driver side. both had wine. now its still not together but closer then before.

never thought it could be my remote wire. that could really be it? maybe because i have to many amps on the one wire without it being fused or used with a relay?

I have never heard of problems with the remote wire unless you run that with the RCAs as well...that is also a 12 volt signal and can give the RCAs noise. RCAs should be run alone.as for them being close, they just shouldn't be touching like if they were run in the same spot. If you have them meet up and bunched 2gether somewhere that can do it to. If that still doesn't help, you can try a ground loop isolator which you can find at a bestbuy or radioshack that will sometimes fix the problem. If you do try the ground loop isolator, get it at bestbuy cuz they got 30 day return for any reason so if it doesn't help you can return it wink

yeah man its not touching anywhere. i have a 0ga power wire but i had the wine when i had a 4ga setup. i honestly was thinking about the isolators but i heard they basically are turning down the gain. makes it harder to hear the highs which is something i can do on the amp. i'll check it out but you heard anything like that?

people like us meaning you don't know what your talking about... then why post. I'd say ask anyone who might know. Someone easily might have had the same problem and fixed it. y'know?
