Underdash Leds
We my friend finally lent me his dremel so instead of doing home work I made these.
I had gotten a few acrylic rods from somewhere that were about a foot in length. I drilled a hole in each end and put a wide angle LED in the whole(only have wide angle right now), and this is how they came out.
I think they came out pretty good for only 2 LED's and doing it at like 2 in the morning.

The acryllic rod method is not the greatest method to use. it's very dim compared to neon or cold cathode. You should look at doing something like this:

But if anyone is interested, I can make some 3" laser etched tubes for $4 + shipping.
They would be made out of the same acryllic as these angel eyes and they would be MUCH brighter.

Kustomized: Yeah the blue under the dash is from the rod, there is just an led on each side
DTN: Cold cathode would definitely be brighter, but when i already had 40 3mm 5000mcd leds laying around and i got 5 foot long acrylic rods for i believe 6 dollars shipped....its a little cheaper.
TibbyTib: This is where i got the rods from. Here
