Awhile ago, I got some 6" white cold cathodes to help supplement my trunk lighting. The stock light is pathetic, and anything in the trunk quickly blocks it, so I was planning on adding these cathodes to give better lighting there. So I've mounted the two cathodes on the hatch, right next to the glass and hooked them up to the trunk light (which is now disconnected). Absolutely beautiful results! They're a lot brighter than the stock bulb and look way much nicer.
I took a picture using only the lights from the cathodes, no added light. It was about a 10" exposure, so it looks a bit darker in person than it shows in the pic.
Enjoy!

As you wish!
This is looking from the top of the back seats directly toward the lights.

Hmm... I like it. Can a person who is looking at the trunk, without actually ducking their head inside, see the lights themselves?

Those lights look good, the stock really sucks. Your car is really clean! All the pictures I see look like it's out of a magazine or something.

LNHeart, they're only like $6 from Oznium.com (who has an awesome no-questions-asked warranty policy), and wiring only took an hour or two (shorter, but I was going for a super clean look and wrestled the wire through the wiring grommet).

DTN, you can see the lights from the front of the car when the trunk is open (actually looks way cool), but unless you're really short or lean in just a little bit, you can't really see the lights from the outside.

LexOne, blue could look good, but I wanted these more for functionality, hence the white. Most all the other lights in my car are blue, but I wanted a brighter, cleaner look in the back.

Polaris, thanks man!! The photoshoot took me around an hour by the time I got it all cleaned up and took a dozen pictures, but I love it!

Hell ya man. Oznium is awesome. I had a broken tube when I got a box once, called and they sent me two brand new ones.
