I need a bigger alternator for my Hyundai accent.
2x 1000 mono block amps.
Alpine 1000 watts 4 channel amp ( 3x 4 gauge cable into 0 gauge to front of car)
every time base hits it's cutting power to my headlights and making my engine drop its rpm.
even worse. if i turn it up load and put my foot down i can feel it limiting the engine/ engine ecu most likely.
So currently it as fuse removed.
(iv blowed 60amp fuses commonly.

1 farad capacitor. I would hope with that setup you would already have one of these. If not get one now. I'm not saying to get the one I posted, just an example
I don't know if you are beta swapped or not but the beta 2 alternator has a higher amperage output than the beta 1 and I'm pretty sure they are PnP between the motors. I don't think it's a substantial difference in output though.

If you are actually drawing so much power to your audio system that it dims the lights and cuts engine output, you need more alternator. Good luck finding one specifically advertised for a Hyundai, but any 12v high output alternator MAY be made to work with proper brackets and belts. You might want to get in contact with local car audio competition types to see who they use for this sort of thing.

Well this is very odd.
I now have alpha Engine back in. After i removed the 2.0 Beta. I did install the 2.0 beta on the alpha. after about 3 days i had bad burning smell and smoke poured from the alternator. Then it stopped charging.

Hyundai Sonata looks the same as my beta. There 200Amp.
If the Coupe/Tib V6 fit the Beta engines.
and the Sonata (2007) Shape is same as the 2002-2004. The 200Amp one will fit.
Because the 2004 2.7 Sonta as same part numbers as the 00+ V6 Tib Uk models.
200amps is good upgrade from only 60Amps-80Amps

If you find out for sure let us know. I used to do Stereo comps and ran a 2500rms Viper and same problem. Id still like more amps if just incase. Good luck finding out.
