Chances are your idea would of had to have been glassed..... and I can't be out of my car for this so anything that has to be glassed is out of the question. Also any box that is glassed is going to be in the 250 range. We thought of many options after the spare tire well was out of the question and this was the smallest and cheapest box that could of been made. The only other option was a box going strut to strut angled in the back to conform with the chair. But I opted against that because I know everyone here is rather performance oriented so I went with the smaller lighter option.

For the size, fitment, and cost of this...it cant be beat at all. Other enclosures like this cost 3-4 times more. Just as an example...a member on HA had one made for his Elantra, and it ran him $445:

$95 shipped to your door for the Tiburon community is a STEAL!

Yep, while I was there he showed me a glassed one that he made for a jetta.... $250, sorry I don't care how it fits I'm not shelling out $250 for a sub box.

I was asked to post some pics,I'm a lil late ,but oh well.,I made these myself a few years ago, probably cost $100 bucks ,cant remember...After I made the shell,I reinforced it from the inside not the outside.,they were supposed to be 1*1 ft i believe for sealed comp 10's so were pretty close, sounded awesome till I put holes throught them lol, now in the orange tib with with RF 10's, sound wicked!, took about a weekend to make em, first attempt at fiberglassing as well,I should have made more then, just have no time nowdays.. Good luck with the gb.

I have to say, that is a good price. I'm NOT in for one, but folks, this is a really good deal. Only thing better would be one on each side like Regit IMO.

Regit, you and I both should have pulled molds off our completed "trunk side" boxes when we made them. Oh well.

OK...so can this be locked or something? Maybe have a seperate group buy thread in that forum because this thread is starting to get really cluttered up.
