temp/gas gauge help :(

Default temp/gas gauge help :(

i replaced my gas and temp gauge today because gas guage wasnt working, when i started it up i calibrated them but they still dont work. im going to rip it all apart tomorrow and see if it changes, anyone have any suggestions and what to check?

If all the wiring is good, you may have to go check the sensors themselves for wear the gauges get their readings. I've only had do this once (Corvette's temp sensor went bad on me), but if everything in the dash is hooked up right, the problem may lie there.

i doubt its that, i had aos gauges put in months ago and the @$$ broke the gas gauge, it never worked after he touched my car and temp gauge always worked until i changed it today, it might be that the new cluster was busted but i doubt that too

do the screws that hold the guages in have to flush against the green circuit board?

yes. they are what transmit the signals.

ya i figured that, i tightened them and the temp gauge works, but the gas gauge is another story, i filled up, stuck the needle on full and moved more left, its past full, i drove 60 miles and it hasnt budged, its like this f

take your gas needle off, and then fill up. wait a good ten minutes, then put it on at full.
