Taking Off Front Panel

i have a clarion deck but whenever i flip down the deck to eject the cd the whole deck shuts off, anyone know why? if i cant fix then ill get a new one but im just curious if there is a simple way to take off the front piece so i can remove the deck? thanx

If you have a 97-99, remove the shifter surround (just snaps on), then you can remove the front pannel (which also snaps on), just be careful no to pull too hard. Then you'll be able to unscrew the deck. If you have an RD2, i'm not sure if it's the same.

Pop out the shifter, than pull the bottom (where the cig lighter compartment is) and it should pop out.

Maybe when you pop your face open it hits the power button on the lip of the radio fascia.
