i don't know if i want to leave my rd1 shifter surround on or the rd2 one i got from the junk? my rd1 has a v-racing shift frame on it so it looks decent.

The rd2 ones look way better.
But since you have an RD1, it won't look right. The lines won't match up.
So, stick with the RD1.
