I'm building a custom ported box for my Jl audio sub. i have manufacture specs for tube ported boxes.
Net internal Volume 2.5 ft cubed
external dimensions 18inx14inx24in
Port (Inside Diameter x length) 4inx13.6in
can anyone tell me how to convert this to a square port?

so, Ive come to this. create a box to fit in my trunk space, that i can afford to spare. i can lose a 12x13x36 in space. using some high school math with a few new equations, i come to find the recommended box creates a 28.63 Hertz frequency. does this sound good so far?
calculating a 8x1.5 in port, new box with 2.41 ft cubed internal volume, and 28.63 Hertz freq, i get a 9.51 in deep square slotted port.
o and I'm only using 1 sub
