Default Re: Is there a larger MAS?

well its almost christmas... so yes i went out and bought some stuff for my car. dummy me didnt even really check into the sizes and stuff of the holes for our speakers. i bought the alpine S series 6 12 inch component system and alpine S series 6x9's. ok... will all of this stuff fit? will there need to be any special stuff made for everything to fit?

also... would i need an amp to run all this stuff or will my cd player (also alpine with hybrid amplifier built in) support everything? thanks for the help

I believe you have the right size speakers.
They should all work but you will never be able to get everything they are capable of w/out an amp.

^^ I'm also about 75% sure that OP is right and you got the size that will fit. And yep, your gonna need an amp to get all the oomphyness out of them.

you wont NEED and amp to run it. it will work just fine with the cd player, but like everyone said, you wont see what they are fully capable of unless you get an amp.

You got 6X9's, which fit, and 6.5's???

Uhm, aren't our fronts 5.24 or 5.5?

I got the same size speakers and they fit just fine in my car, no problems at all. and there is no need for an amp unless you have some extra money to throw into it.

The fronts are actually 6.75" but if you get the 6.5" they usually come with a universal bracket thingy that will make them fit. I have 6.75" in the front.
