I can't remember what sized resistor to use in oder to charge my cap up? Or does it evn matter on the size?

i'm a little confused on what you mean. i may be mistaken, but i thought you only needed the resistor for the initial charge? are you charging it for the first time? it should have came with the resistor. afterwards, you can just let your battery do the work.

i'd use 2 50 ohm 1/2W resistors in paralell for a 1F cap.. basically you're causing a time constant.

calculate:

Time = 1 / (2 x Pi(1 / (2 x Pi(R x C)))

25 Secconds total charge time assuming losslessness


Hold it on for 30 secconds and your capacitor will be charged.
