Okay, I'm getting one or the other for my Birthday since the Xbox 360 thing prolly isn't happening for a few months.

Which one is better? Anyone know of a good deal on the adapter and tuner?

I've got a Alpine CDA-9827 (Thanks ABQElantra) installed and it's XM Ready, but I've also been told it works fine with Serius too.

Give a brotha some advise.

Ive got Sirius and LOVE it. Dont know what i would do without it now. I went with the Clarion box since i have Sirius ready head unit and at the time didnt care if it was transportable or not. (Wish i woulda thought that one through.) My uncle has XM and really both are pretty much the same. XM is a little cheaper per month than Sirius but you have some different channels between the 2. Different Celeb channels and what not. Id check out the Channel line up and make your decision based on that. Then look at the receivers. Both have good companies making the receivers.

I'm big into Electronic/Dance music.

Wonder which has the better selection.

I like my HU because it will display the channel name or artist info, and control direct. No extra screens needed or anything. I've seen the digital adapter and tuner for XM on Ebay for $75 shipped and a $50 mail in rebate.

Yea i like that type of music too and Sirius has like 5 channels that are totally different typs of dance, trance, Techno, etc...

I got the digital box for the same reason. Hooks up and nothing to ever worry about.

Sirius, because unlike XM it's mostly satellite based instead of ground relays. Although you should do research to see what people say about coverage in your area with both.

Sirius ain't going under anytime soon, although in 10 years I think satellite radio will be on its way out entirely. I recently sold all my XMSR and put everything in SIRI. They have better hardware that won't require upgrades in the near future like XMSR will, and their product is simply better. I think Sirius will eventually beat out XM.

I've heard Sirus at Circuit City and love it.

I dunno. Heard that XM has better coverage though.

Guess I'll keep looking.

KEEP POSTING YOUR OPINIONS!

Niether, I don't feel I should pay for radio. dunno.gif

But if I had to pick, I'd choose Sirius, Howard Stern is no dummy, he is going to (that station they shouldn't name - uh-uh-uh wink1.gif laugh.gif )

Well, I SHOULDN'T have to, but local radio SUCKS ASS.

Besides, I'd be able to listen to the same channel for hours, commercial free mostly.
