Any advice on where to get shift knobs that are already threaded to replace your stock shifter?

I don't know if the threading is the same for the RD as it is for the '03GK+, but thats what I am looking for. Everywhere I look, I keep finding universal ones with the screws, which I hate. I had bought one in the past (for my '05 Elantra) and it kept coming loose, so now I only want to get one that fits in place of my stock shift knob. My stock shift knob is nice and it fits my hand just find, but it is not as stylish as I would like it to be IMO.

Very nice,

The best knob I've felt in awhile Very very very nice

bah, it's allright, but the design on top is gay and can burn into your hand easily.

well, it all depends on the knob. In this case it is worth exactly what you pay for it. I have Used momo knobs on my last three cars, none of them have ever come loose and they all use the three screw method of attachment. They also use a rubber "sleeve" that you fit over the end of the shift lever to help keep the knob from moving around on the shaft.

i gotta question, what does the weight of the knob matter? i swapped my stocker for a lighter one (because it was nicer looking) and it was lighter.

It's a DTN special. I bought it at autozone, painted the top, gutted the battery driven electronics and inserted 6 blue LEDs hardwired to my dash lights. I also have REDZMAN's shift boots on now as well.

I cant stand the round shiftknobs..it just hurts my hand for some reason.

I'm thinking about a Sparco leather wrapped knob even though they probably cost a lot. I used to think round knobs were kind of simple and loved the rd1 shifter a lot, but now it just seems like it fits the car well.

anyone have one, or know if it fits?
