senders for gauges
The Guages I am using are also electric...IE no lines are run into the passanger compartment of the car....however your guage has a signal wire that will run through your fire wall to a sender unit that reads your oil pressure and for it to do that it must be installed somewhere that your oil runs...IE your engine block where Hyundai has there sensor for low oil pressure or a check engine light....if you try to mount that sender to the block the weight of the sender combined with the vibration of the engine will cause the fitting you use to mount it to crack....I had this happen 3 different times and was told be the people that installed it that it would not happen.....I finally gave up and used the braided line to mount the sensor in a solid place such as the fire wall and run the braided line to the block...I also extended hyundai's sensor and used a t fitting to mount it with the sensor so that it waould also still read oil pressure and not through a check engine light. I would be able to get pictures but my car is currently 3 hours away getting body work done.
ok I am trying to picture your set up. from the block you have the steel line at the end of the line you have a T fitting that has the sender as well as the low oil pressure sensor on it. then from there the wire on the gauge sender goes through the firewall to the gauge.
