i was lookin at some racin seats but i dont know which to look for
any advice?

i need a driver seat mainly but it has to

recline
slide
and be able to support my fat ass (6 foot 245 lbs)

it also has to be comfortable
fiance will be driving this car also
if it doesnt slide forward she will not be happy (5'3" about 110)

any recommendations? i dont want something too expensive

also i heard we have to make our own brackets how hard is it? can you reuse the stock brackets?

The nameless seats of ebay I hear are pretty good, at first they are firm and take about a month to get comfortable... there also cheap (but still better looking and better quality than the cheap brands such as apc...etc)

The ones in BlackTibs ride look really nice. I believe they were Tenzo (sp?)

Yeah man, Blacktibs' seats are pretty killer looking. Personally anything that has the neck/head cover thingie (you know, like a flare at the top of the seat) looks really good. Mean, bulky, and comfortable, that's what I look for in a seat. That'll prolly be my next purchase, though I've been saying the same damn thing for like a year.

I would stay away from the real cheap cloth seats on ebay. I have heard they easily tear, and fade, but I'm sure you can get some seats on there that are decent, and don't cost much.

As for brackets, Corbeau makes brackets for a 97-01 tib. Just measure the rails, and find seats that have sliders the same width.. all you would need to do is redrill some holes on the brackets and voila. Or you could weld any seats onto the bracket also.
