Default seat retrim.....done our way!!

YEP THE SEAT RETRIM PROJECT IS GO!!

Jason is very quiet for some reason this week so we decided to get my seats done whilst we had the opportunity to do something big.

The initial aim is two-fold.

1st-obvious one-retrim the dupe coupe.Retain the gen3.5 grey leather on the outside, with red stitching, whilst recovering the centre panels, and showing just what we can do,using the tsIII seats as the ideal pattern but using black stitching as preferred by members for the diamond pattern.

The gen 3.5 seats look like this

We are replacing the red centre panels that have annoyed me since i have had them.Whilst i love the "net look" of the webbing what i dont like is the very poor fading red colour(its not faded though it was like that from new)

people often mistake the grey leather for being black

but it does have red stitching which is what i want......

The centre panels will be replaced by red leather embroidered with this

and the design will be broadly similar to this

2nd aim: To see whether it is viable to offer this as a reasonable priced service.....

We looked at doing the diamonds in black but it just doesnt match with the outer grey leather......so we scrapped that one........and finally settled on this

love the job and not that difficult.............

ok inbetween doing the front seats....here's the backs......

any opinions?
