Clean it really good with soap and water or 409 and then water. Then use "rubbing compound" use it twice, then use "polishing compound"

the wax is for extra protection and shineyness, but it's temporary.

I don't know what the hell rubbing compound is. Maybe we call it something else up here in the arctic.

This is what I use. It's newer then the can variety. But you can use either or... There's similar products sold everywhere. rubbing compound is used to remove oxidation and overspray. If used with heavy pressure it will take off some clearcoat and remove egg-shell/roughness. You should use enough so that you can actually see white while you're rubbing it in. It will leave your paint pretty shiney.

This is the older variety of polishing compound. Both rubbing and polishing compound come in can or bottle form. I like bottle form better. The polishing compound is a very very fine polish that will leave your paint shineyer then shiney.

You then wax to protect the paint. Every seccond that your paint is left exposed it is oxidizing. So use some wax to protect the finish that you made with the rubbing and polishing compound.

You can get these products at advanced, autozone, o'riley's or maybe even canadian tire.

There's alot of other systems out there that might work differently, but this is a tried and true method for spraypaint. If you go to walmart they have clay bar-polish-wax systems that are ment for paint which is spray gun quality. This will give a professional finish to your spray paint.

Yeah, I like the silver a lot better, personally.
I'm glad I painted it. It's ridiculously easy to do. smile.gif
It all comes off with a bunch of screws.
