Rear Window Defogger
Ever since I took my dash off my rear defogger hasn't worked. I press the button and the light turns on, and I let go of the button the little green light turns off. Im trying to remember, does that button have to stay in once I press it is it fine that it comes back out?
Anyways that's the problem. Light is on once I push it and hold it in, but it doesn't stay on once I release the button.

Rear defogger switch doesn't stay pressed if you turn it on. But lamp should be on (I think it's yello color).
Check connections to the switch and to the little block, I think it's called Time And Alarm Control (under the radio)

Well, defrosters also turn off when it's warm enough, maybe it's too hot?
Might check your fuses, I had problems with my defroster for some time then found out it was because I had used a wire tap on that fuse before, and it spread out the connectors enough it wasn't getting a good connection.

Which fuse is it exactly? The ones I checked where all okay.
Tell me more about the defroster being too warm. It's around 80F around here. Redz run outside real quick and tell me if yours turns on when its warm smile.gif

It's a 30A fuse, it should say it on your fuze box cover.
As for the temp, it's like 90 here and rising, but I can't check until after class my mang, too far to walk. Take a look at webtech?

I tried logging on to webtech but those bastards won't let me sign in, says wrong password. I asked them to send me my pw through email but nothing yet so at the moment I can't check.

Do you have cruise control? If you do, I bet you $5 that you put the plug in there wrong; you inverted the defogger plug and the cruise control plug. They're shapped the same.
Happened to me wink1.gif
If you have cruise control, try pushing the cruise control button and see if the defogger begins to function. You might want to check the inverse too; check that you can't use the cruise control while the CC button is pushed down, then hold the defogger button down and try to engage CC; it should work. That's how I knew I inverted the plugs in the first place.
