Just thought I would post about my problems here so that someone else can avoid BS in the future.

Well I fitted this Interstate battery a while ago (about 15 months back) and all was well. I started my install over a year back and got it physically finished a few months ago, still needs trim panels and shit but it all functions as it should.

Well when I added the screen and dvd I got an alternator whine and it was a nasty one because it came from nowhere and I couldnt seem to shift it no matter what I did, I added all kinds of filters and what not and it got quieter but was still there. In the end I left it alone as it was until the exterior was finished (Id had enough beating my head on the wall).

Well when I added my sony head unit (new flashy one) a couple of weeks ago I noted the screen didnt work (shock horror) and I had to rev the engine to make it come on. I didnt suspect the battery as it was a deep cycle interstate.

Anyways progessively over the last couple of weeks the starter has seemed sluggish when starting the car. I knew it was either the alt or the battery but both are relitively new (batt 15 months alt has had about 15k miles usage) so I was scared it might be something really bad with the lecs.

Anyways, got up thismoring and instead of the false alarm report from the alarm (which I have had all week) I realised I had no alarm. no battery and no power.

Went out today and got a new battery and everything is working 100% but the really odd thing is the alternator whine is gone completely and my screen works 100%.

I have a feeling that my system has just sucked the balls dry on the battery, so it's a good thing this one comes with a 2 year replacement as I dont fancy buying a new one every year..

I cant really gripe or complain about this because the battery was $70 with my old one, its a nice one and heck its hardly expensive maintainance....
