Hi all,
Question is do the vent rings from de rd2 fit on a rd1? Also the base plate of the shifter surround??
They are circled red in the picture below.

the ring i don't think fit
the shifter base i know does, but it doesn't flow nicely with the rd1 because the rd1 has a more curvey interior then the rd2 which has kind of a square look.
compare pics of rd1 and rd2 interior and you'll see what i mean.

I can't tell from that pic.. but I can tell you that the vents on the RD1 are not round.. but a slightly flattened elipse. They also sit slightly proud from the dash.. it looks the vents in the RD2 sit more flush.

Vent Rings WILL NOT fit
The shifter surround will "fit", but the 2nd gen surround sits higher and is more "square" than the 1st gen, so it'll look funny, unless you do some custom molding

I just wanted to back up some of the previous advise here. My Tib was basically the first (2nd gen) fit w/ BlackTibs interior haloz. He and his girlfriend both had first gen Tibs. So I took mine to his house to have mine made, and there WAS a slight difference in the shape.
Can't help on the shifter thing though. I have NO idea! haha
