If anyone wants to start their own painted dash project, I've got a spare RD2 upper dash for sale.

The steering wheel is the MOMO Black Millenium EVO with a Tiburon emblem on it.

not my style or color at all, but you did quality work. the way the gauges match is pretty cool too. fing02.gif

can't wait to see the whole car .. i've been wondering what it's going to look like, i think i've been reading your posts for almost a year now about different parts you keep getting..and sometimes not getting..ha.

anyway, good work!

Nice work. The only thing I would've done (besides a color different than purple, but then again my name's not Purpletib) is paint the black part between the gauge face and the clear plastic silver maybe. Goes with the accent of the steering wheel.

Well, it's dirty cuz it's sitting at a body shop. Cost? Man, that'd be hard to guess. I forget how much I spent. Steering wheel, don't remember. Gauges, about $90. LED conversion, maybe $25. Paint & clear - bought a quart of paint and had a paint shop put it into 4 cans, and bought auto clear in cans. About $65 for paint, 4 cans at $4/piece, and 4 cans clear at $12/piece. That and plastic primer, white base paint, sand paper, buffing compound, polishing compound, wax.... yada yada. All together for the dash minus the steering wheel I'd say I have close to $300 total. With steering wheel, maybe $550.

Wow. that's alot more then I spent. I bought paint from the store for $7/can. It was about $50 in paint supplies. $25 for LEDs, and $25 for AOS gauges (back when they still made them). So mine was about $100.
