Purpletib's Dash Pics
Ok, I told a few people I would post some pics up, so here they are. I have BlackCat custom gauge faces, painted bezels, and silver needles with LED conversion. The dash is the color the car will be when it finally rolls out of the body shop, which with any luck will be about three weeks.
The color looks a little blotched on here and is not exactly the same, probably because of the flash. Also, my car is not the cleanest as it has been sitting in a body shop forever. I'll make it all purdy when it finally rolls out and post a full intro thread for my car then. So far, the only member here who has even seen a glimpse of my car is SOCKS.
I already know that most of you wont dig it, and I'm cool with that. I have pretty unique taste, and sadly it is getting harder to get the parts I do want, so I settle for what is available. But all that will come later. So, without further adieu, here are the pics:

Check out the shark emblem on the guages. The turn signals are also shark gills:

So, that's it for the first sneak peak. More to come before too long....at least I hope!

Yes, it's a metallic base paint. Alsa midnight purple metalic. Basically the same color as the vintage dodge plum crazy purple. That may also be partly why the pint looks blotchy. The metallic reflecting off of the flash.
Has plenty of clear. Just looks like crap in the pics. It's a whole other story in person. I do need to wax it a bit more though. When the car is done I will do new pics, in outdoor sunlight so no flash will be needed and I don't have this problem anymore.

wait a few days, then go crazy with the rubbing compound and some pressure, then polishing compound and a nice wax. it will come out looking beautifully shiney.
