i can't think of one thing that will give you a long shine. long lasting if on the interior. smells good. it's the best leather polish i'vbe used. i use it on all of the interior plastic as well. it doesn't polish it but it does look wet and shiney. it works great for getting shine, especially since our interiors are so smooth and easy to detail hence i love RD's over nonsense new cars. rolleyes.gif

as for a rubbing compound, i have one at home and am hesitant to use it. i might try it on my sifter surround and see how that works. i'll take photos...

3M rubbing compound FTW!!!
Here's what I did:

Wetsand at 1500 grit
Polishing compound - at this point, I had that sort of dull smooth finish I had before
3M rubbing compound - (Yes, it's rubbing, not polishing, but it does the polishing job) Took that dull glow and made it shine!! Did it twice since it worked so well. Still had a couple tiny little rub/scratch marks from the cloths.
Meguiar's ScratchX - Took that shine to the next level, but when I put the stuff on, I couldn't get it off! I had to rub like crazy (adding more little scratches) to get the bulk of it off, and I can see what still looks like a small layer of swirled ScratchX on the surface... Disappointed, but maybe I did it wrong
Meguair's NXT Tech Wax Paste - easy stuff to put on and made it feel and amazing!

I still have those marrs from the ScratchX, so now that it's installed (added more scratches while installing it...), I'll probably hit it again with 3m Rubbing compound, ScratchX (done right) and the paste wax.

How do you all use the ScratchX? Little areas and wipe off before it's dry? I did the whole part and let it dry, and that didn't work...

ScratchX is garbage. I doubt you'll be able to see it work at all no matter what technique you use unless your using a buffing wheel or somthin.

ScratchX works well, I can really see the difference, but just getting it off was a bugger.
