Did you prep it and what did you use to prep it with? Did you use any type of primer then paint or just paint right over it?
I didn't use a primer. All I did was sand the pieces with 400 grain sandpaper. If I had to do it again I would prime first. Just think it would be easier. smile.gif

The whole project took me just one day. My neighbor and I did it. The paint dries extremely fast. It got on the garage floor and all I had to do was sweep it up. I put one coat on, waited about 5-10 mins, put another coat on, and waited again, and kept doing that process until I thought it was thick enough, then I put the clear coats on the same way. Overall, about 5-10 coats of red, and 3-5 coats of clear. I got done painting by 5:00p.m. and I installed everything at 9:00pm. All the pieces were completely dry.
Only problem we had was with the red not sticking in some of the spots. Looked like poka dots. We found that the cause of this was poor sanding and the paint wasn't sticking to where there used to be Armor-All Shine. That's why I would use primer if I were you. That's about it. Really easy.
Just remember not to put anymore coats on after you let the pieces dry for more than an hour. If you do, the paint will spider web. You have to wait five days to do touch up if you let the last coat dry for longer than an hour. sad.gif
