You'll need a higher wattage speaker to run that amplifier.
what speaker do you recomend for this sett up, also what amp should i get for the speaker then?
The amp puts out only a little higher than what the speaker can handle, should be ok as long as you don't turn it up all the way..
Oh, sorry, that's a 4-channel amp.. it would be a waste to use such a big amp for a single 125W subwoofer.. It would still work though, as long as you're careful and not turn it up into distortion (but that's not easy, sometimes it's hard to tel)

is there a conflict of OHMs tho, when hook it up with one channel at max? or how would the work when RMS is @ohm and MAX is 2 Ohm on the amp?
i just need a setup untill i get a new setup
amp
• Power RMS (4 Ohm):150W x 4
• Max Power (2 ohm): 250W x4
speaker
Nominal Power Handling 125 Watt RMS
Peak Power Handling 300 Watt

Your amplifier is not designed to run a subwoofer dude. It's designed to run 4 4ohm midrange speakers. This is the value you need to look at: Max Power (2 ohm): 250W x4
You'll need to find a bandpass filter or it will sound bad.
Your speaker will most likely blow
use a RCA Y connector, bridge the 2 channels of the sound together, then another Y to bring it back into 2 channels. This will make 1 channel out of 2.
Depending on the deck, it may or may not sound like ass. If it does, then you need to just use 1 RCA and use a Y to make 2
The reason for this is because a dual voice coil speaker will be pulled in 2 directions and cancel out the sound if you try to make it play stereo.
Run channel 1 of the 4way amp to voice coil 1, and channel 2 to voice coil 2
Start the gain off VERY low
Turn it up until you can hear it
The subwoofer will sound better and better until it blows.
You should look at getting a new amplfier, but since you've already got the equipment, a subwoofer would be cheaper.
Try your setup like I told you. It may work, or you may get carried away with the gain and blow up your sub.

ok i just say f*** the JL audio i went into my bassment and pulled out the subs i had left over from all the trading i used to do heres what i found....
a
12in kicker comp and a
10in factory pioneer pontiac G6 sub
cant find jack on either
the kicker is a Kicker Comp VR, the style is unlike any other kicker on ebay, has dual voce coils, and it has a red arrow, conecting to a black and white k, for the k in kicker (think was 1000w max and 500w RMS but not possitive)
sorry i cant find the specs i was sorta hoping for some help with finding them and wiring them up
