Need Some Info For Computer In Car
^ Macs use Windows based computers? You obviously have no idea what you're talking about, or are smoking heavy amounts of crack (or both?)
The switch to Intel processors was a very smart decision, since Intels became a lot better than the PowerPCs. The fact that the hardware is x86-compatible doesn't make it Windows..
Mac OS X is in general much better designed and more stable than Windows XP/Vista. Not that I'd ever buy a Mac, it's way too expensive compared to a similar PC.
Silver, you should check the Mac subforum on mp3car.com, I'm sure they have some good info on that: http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/maccar/

No, it's not windows, it's windows hardware. The terminology IBM compatable is outdated. MAC and Windows can now run on the same computer with no translator. They lost the hardware edge when they stopped making "superior graphics processing" and "superior audio quality" now they're just using the same stuff that windows has used for years and they're trying to knock windows to make it sound like they're better or something. All they do now is make an inferior product, with less support and knock the competition.
There is no such thing as "windows hardware". Yes, it's the same hardware Windows also runs on, so? Linux and tens of other operating systems run on it as well, is it also called "linux hardware"??

Well, what would you call it? I'd say they've started running MAC OS on PCs, but they've obviously differentiated themselves from PC through marketing terminology, and PC has become the "windows brand". The decent hardware all carries a windows certification though.

It's all in the use of the word, but DTN is kinda right.
Why do they call Macs Macs, and Windows OS computers PC's?
Isn't a Mac also a PERSONAL COMPUTER?
Hell, why do folks call it a ATM MACHINE?
ATM = Automated Teller Machine.
ATM Machine = Automated Teller Machine Machine?
