same way I did mine.

Just alot fewer wires I also ran video cable down the center to keep the images clean. You may have better luck running the remote next to the power instead of the RCA

Well, I finially got everything in, Heres what it all consists of.
Just posting the links to the things I have since its easyer.

Sony deck-Headunit

Front and rear speakers

Pioneer 6 1/2

Pioneer 6x9

a Orion 225 Hcca Amp

Orion amp Diagram

And an older Orion XTR 12" sub
I believe its a single voice coil , i dont know much about it.

Everything works, BUT I got some questions,

#1. Im not sure if the sub is hooked up right to the amp. There are four wire comming out of the amp for sprekers.
You can see them in the diagram, Currently I just have the orange and orange with stripe hooked up to the sub.

What I want to know is IS THIS RIGHT? I saw on another site that I should connect The yellow and orange/stipped to get a mono down to 1 Ohm, which contradicts what the diagram says.

I need help, how should it be hooked up.

#2. One of the wire the went into the sub from the terminal, was loose and the sub didnt play when it was loose, so i ziptied it tight. Is there a way to take the sub apart and re-solder it, or should i just start looking for new subs, if my ziptie job dosent hold.

Please help me electronic peps, I wanna make sure my sub is thumpin correctly.

let me look at a few pics of your amp first, you should be able to bridge the amp, so it pushed all the power through the sub, rather than half through one channel, half through the other, i will look up some info and get back

dont know what you exactly mean about the zipties though?

edit: cant tell from the pics, but on those 4 speaker terminals, there should be two + and two - (obviously) and then there should be a bar going from 1 + on one channel to 1 - on the other channel and it should say "bridge" otherwise you should hook up your subs + to the + on the far left channel, and your subs - to the far right -

if that sounds confusing it should look like this:
channel 1 channel 2
|+| |-| |+| |-|
^----------------^
thats how it should be wired, no need to even bother with the two middle terminals

My amp is an old Orion 225 Hcca it just has four wires for speakers.

Well , in the pic you can see of my amp all my wire are yellow so i hope your not looking at that one, I know what the code of the wires are though.I just tried abunch of combonations with the wires and found the following.
The combonations of--

Yellow and orange/stripe, had the loudest and most pronounced bass.
Yellow and yellow/stripe, had about half of the best sound.
Orange and orange/stripe," "
Orange and yellow stripe, didnt hear anything.

As for my zip tie thing, There are 2 wire that got from the terminal on the sub, to inside the sub, 1 of those wires When slack causes the sub not to play, so i zip tied it tight to the terminal so it has a better connection and its been playing ok so far.

About the ziptie issue, you should be able to take your sub out of the box and secure the connections to the terminals, from inside the box.

As for your connection, the instructions on that amp say to connect the Orange wire (+) and the Black/Yellow wire (-), and then to push in the "Mono" button.

This is a 2-channel amp, so you can only bridge it mono. Now, the only thing that the instructions don't specify, is what the impedance required for bridging is, and what is the RMS output of a bridged connection. It would be nice to know both these values in order to match it with the sub so that you don't blow it up.

It says the amp is .5 ohm stable. It also rates the amp at 4 ohms. So you should be good anywhere between 4 ohms to .5 ohms. I've seen amps that rate bridged connections with a lower ohmage then then the standard connections, so it may be a range from 2 ohms to .5 ohms. Most subwoofers I've dealt with are either 2 ohms or dual channel 4 ohms that bridge to 2 ohms , sometimes dual channel 2 ohms that bridge to 1 ohm.

Check on the back of your speaker.
