Alright, well tonight me and my buddy decided to put in the bros gauges that ive had sitting around for awhile.

We got everything in alright, had it tested before we put the bezel back on and then tested again after we screwed it back onto the dash, we put the whole dash back together, and got to the stereo suround cover on and i wanted to test all the lights so i tried the vent halos first (the switch is in the ash tray) so i was supper confused, I checked the switch and everything was fine there, checked the fuse, looked fine, so i just left it as is cause i just wanted to get the gauges done and ill worry about the rest tomorow.

I go to turn on the gauges and i have no lights come on and i look to the right and i have no lights on hvac controls either, or the lights for the shifter(auto) I have the dome lights working, the lights on the sides of the doors are working, the clock works, and then i notticed that the door open light on the gauges is on, so then i turn the car on and nottice that the rest of the startup lights come on but nothing for the rest of the gauges, so that made me even more confused, so i checked every fuse that i could think would be causing the problem, and then ripped the dash apart again and took the gaugews out and placed them back in again thinking it just didnt line up properly afterwards, didnt help.

Now im at a complete loss, please someone help me as i drive the tib mostly at night. HELP!!!

I should also mention that all of the outside lights(headlights, tails, etc) all work as well as the hazzard switch and the cruise control, all the wipers work. The dimmer switch light(i did the mod) does not work as well

Thanks,
Drew

Check the connection behind the dimmer switch. it supplies the voltage and return for the stock lighting.
Btw.. if you want to hook up the gauges to the stock lighting hook up to a green/white wire.

It's also possible you did something to the dimmer switch.

Im using the stock lighting, the gauges are just the gauge faces.

What could i have done to the dimmer? If your talking about the light mod to it, i did that about 6 months ago, and its been fine.

^^ Yeah, but you were saying something about a switch. You mean a dimmer?

I'd check to make sure it's plugged in. There is alot in the circuit mang. check the fuses at the top of these drawings, and work your way to the dimmer switch.

OK well i have now checked every fuse i could see, and all were fine.

While i was out this morning i did nottice that i have a few more lights out, i have no drivers side tail light..although the brake light, and the turn signal light both work.

I also have no drivers side corner light, untill i turn the turn signal on, then it comes on.

For the tail light i tried replacing it with new lights but they didnt work in there, so then i tried switching the light with the passanger side light and the light worked in the passanger side, but the known working one did not work in the drivers side.

I checked the dimmer switch and looked at the connection, disconected and reconected, and that didnt help.

I have power to the hazzard switch, the clock, the radio, the rear defrost/rear wiper/cruise switch, dome lights, side door lights, i have power to the windows and sunroof, I have power to the idiot indicator lights on the one side of the gauges, and the gauges also move, i have lights on the passanger exterior of the car.

I have no power to the gauge lights, Angel eyes, the cigarette lighter and all of the lights in there, the lights in the shifter in an automatic, the angel eyes are connected to the lights that are in the lighter area, no driver side front turn signal untill turned on, and no drivers side tail light.

What could i have done?

There's alot of possible problems still man. Did you check the green fusable link F? It's a square box in the engine bay fuse box. There's also the left tail-lamp fuse in the engine bay as well.

I just went out again after i posted that last problem, and i guesse i skipped a fuse by mistake, and i pulled it and jumped for joy when i saw that it was broken haha so i replaced it and all is good, all lights back to work.

So now im just wondering how i blew that fuse?

or it could have just been its time to go...
