right, what i was inferring by that is that you won't have valuable data on your CarPC that you won't have backed up somewhere else.

if you do, you shouldn't.

ah i see, and I just bought an ipod. So the USB just plays my ipod through the radio, And the ipod is the interface instead of the radio. All I'll ever need =)

I'm still waiting for someone to build these for us. I'm done building computers, be damned if I want to learn how to do it again now. So, who wants my business? LOL

i'd love to build anyone's carpc, it just takes time that i simply don't have. i just completely redid my molded touchscreen and it took about 20 hours. came out better and quicker than the first go-around, but still, 20 hours. add on building the actual pc and wiring harnesses and stuff and it gets lengthy.

I could do without a molded touchscreen. An in dash one would be fine, or I could get a double din one with the new double din dash part we found with a square/non rounded opening.

You should do it for a profit of course!

No real need for a molded screen, unless you just have to have one. A single din pop out LCD would work fine, or you get a squared dual din OEM stereo surround and put in a dual din screen.

I love the molded screen, looks so OEM and it won't go over the heater controls like a flipout. Plus i am not sure how easy it is to find a pop-out or double din PC lcd screen (haven't really looked).

That being said, my surround was molded by Frozen, I assume it took a lot of bondo and sanding haha
