MP3 Player connection
It reaaaaally sucks how i got my 08 sonata just a few months before the 09 comes out. i could have gotten a touch nav, audio plug in, better interior, etc for the same price.
however the only thing i REALLY care about is the audio in. i have an mp3 player (NOT an ipod) i would love to listen to while im driving. ive looked around, and it seems my only option is an fm transmitter (please god no). if you know any good ones, please recommend them.
would it be possible to install a line in jack?

You can install a hard wired FM adapter that physically plugs into the stereo antenna jack then the antenna plugs into the adapter. It lets the MP3 player's signal come through on an FM channel but without most of the disadvantages of an FM transmitter.
If your stereo has a line in port that'll work, but if it's the factory deck it probably doesn't.
I would suggest that you get a new stereo that does everything you want.

If you have RCA / Aux input jacks in the back you can do like I did.
Get a RCA to headphone wire , mine is about 4 feet, and plug it into the AUX in the back of the radio.
Mine comes out of the passenger footwell and when it's not in use I run it into the glove box from the back so you can't see it.

I got one of those Ipod FM transmitters for my wife, $30 from pepboys, and completly wireless, it looks like a litthe white barrel and plugs into the bottom of the Ipod.
But the neat thing is it still came in clear when I was holding it about 20 ft rom the van! Around 25 feet it got fuzzy though.

I bought one today for my Nissan... RCA to headphone wire. 6 feet for $9.99, works flawlessy. I've had two FM transmitters, and when I'm on the interstate they're just not the same quality. I'd put them a little lower than a mid-rate FM signal
