It looks weird that, on the driver-side window control module, the side-mirrors button and the "Lock Windows" button don't light up. I know they're not supposed to light up (there's no LED and the markers on those buttons are painted white instead of being translucent. So I'm wondering if anyone has ever mod'ed them so that they will light up??? This may just be an "I wish" item 'cause it seems impossible to mod them to light up (mostly because the buttons are not translucent).

My lock windows button lit up oem, and now it lights up blue.

I think Blacktibs did my switches.

Your "lock windows" button lit up OEM, Redz? That's good to know... it may just mean that my oem led is toast, on that button. I didn't remove that button. I only removed the side mirrors button and saw that it didn't lit up OEM *for sure*, and assumed that it was the same deal with the lock windows button.

Yup. But if I remember right, it only lights up when pushed in.

I think it's hard, non transparent plastic. I wasn't able to make mine work. I can't remember for sure what the problem was.

^^ I was thinking of using a rotary tool with an abrasive wheel (I'm not sure what is its actual name), and use it to scrape away the inside of the side mirror button where the white arrow markings are, on the outside. This way I would create a thin layer of that hard plastic, and maybe the light would shine through. I could also cover the insde/scraped area with crazy glue or some other transparent liquid to solidify the weakened plastic (behind the white markings). I hope I made sense.

Do you think that would work?
