So this is how it comes out with clear plastic. There's no way to get all the paint crap out from the back but it does really shine like the sun!! It's sort of a distraction and the red mixed with the black isn't good.

You can see the difference. I want it to be like the second picture. The black gauges with LED's look so good at night, and not annoying while driving, but without the back cleared the color doesn't get distributed far enough. You would have to have like 30 LED's for that to work. What white solution can I splash on the back of the gauges to get it to light up like that while distributing the color nicely around? White mix with red will make a nice easy shade and color.
F2 gauges come a bit tinted grrrrr.

Did you try oops already? I used oops to get rid of the black on the stocker gauges. When I do full LED conversions, I put 1 LED behind each number, and stensil material on top of that. I know you know about stensil material, thanks for that BTW..
Is this the same gauges?

yeah i oopsed everything out but for there are still some light smudges that just don't want to come out. I know nobody has these faces here so i'm all alone, but check this out. it's clearly tinted:

wtf i don't understand why it would be tinted. did your OEM look like this too?

The stockers are white internally. they distribute the light inside themselves. You should try to diffuse the light from way down below. Mount the lights to the bottom of the gauges rather then near the top. Diffusion is everything and diffusion becomes greater over distance.
The differenence between your gauges and the stockers is that yours are tinted clear. the stockers are white. You should try to use more stensil... maybe right below the gauges and on the LEDs if needed.

hmm, you're right. i guess i can't do anything about the tint. i was hoping for a more pinkish color than orange but this will have to do. i guess it looks like it's came from hell?
hey thanks to your and t01's help i got everything to light up accordingly and there's no heat!
sorry to wake you up, if something is not perfectly right i'll always ring the bell.
*ok i concluded that if i had done this mod with stock gauges it would have come out 20,000 times better. ah well...
