^ ok I will contact the dealer to see what he will tell me.
If you try and shake the door from the handle you will see what I mean, it sounds very cheapy.

sound deadening will help even if it hasnt been layed directly on the rattle because it will absorb a little of the sound coming from the source.
also, when you lay it down you put the plastic panels right on it, so the likely source of the rattle(loose panel to metal) will be directly fixed.
the actual plastic peice dont rattle. common sense man, plastic wont internally rattle unless its about to break from some insane vibration. its just a loose screw that holds the panel to plastic somewhere.

Our cars suck for rattling. Well almost all hatchbacks do. My old Celica hatchback was worse except for that annoying rattle from my sunroof. You you get rid of the rattling slowly piece by piece like I have been doing. First on your list to fix should be the rear view mirror.

Some people swear by dynomat. I swear by little pieces of small flat weather stripping, screw drivers and wrenches. You can stick weather stripping just about anywhere you hear a little tick noise when you take a corner too hard.

check the motor under the glove box. mine used to rattle. I took a big piece of duct tape and a shop towel and taped it so it didn't rattle anymore. Hey, noone can see it fing02.gif
Beleive it or not, one piece that rattles like crazy is the rear latch. It's not because it is loose, or because it's broken, it wears and there are two parts there that make noise, one is the remote opening cable protector (like the piece of pipe that is around the cable almost at the latch) and the other is the latch mechanism itself. The solution? Replace it... it's not cheap, but that MF piece won't stop until you change it. This also happens in Elantras, but i the Coupes is just worse.
