Yeah, I did mine with Duplicolor Vinyl/Plastic paint, and it came out fantastic.

The most IMPORTANT keys to good painting (i have a knack for it, for some reason - and get quality results every time)......

-Make sure you do it in ideal temperatures.
-Prep your surface WELL, so the paint sticks for a long time and doesn't chip off.
-I can't say this one enough.... LIGHT COATS! Be patient. I like to do painting while I'm doing something else so I don't think about it.... i.e. drinking beer and playing video games and throwing on a coat every so often.
-CLEAR COAT!! CLEAR COAT!! CLEAR COAT!!
-Get some practice on less critical stuff, like under the hood and what not... before you try to tackle the interior. Those plastic panels and vinyl can be VERY touchy and look like 5hit if not done right the FIRST time.

As far as that goes, everything Patreezy said is pretty good advice. And as far as Do-It-Yourself projects go - this is one of the most rewarding.

Hope this helps. wink.gif

*EDITED* - BTW, the clear coat that I use is the High-Heat Engine Coat from Duplicolor, and highly recommend this product. The heat from the sun and magnification from the windshield don't even phase it. I think it's got a threshold of 1600 degrees or something, so you won't even have to worry about it.lol.gif

*EDITED AGAIN*
Another thing I noticed that Patreezy said that I wanna' touch on.... Let your paint dry TOTALLY (at least a half hour) before applying your first coat of clear. And when you're done, give it a good 12 hours to dry. No matter how dry you think it is within the first 6 hours, you will probably get finger prints in your coat upon re-installation, and it will look horrible and piss you off. So my suggestion, when your last coat of clear goes on.... put it in a dry/warm environment, and leave it alone until you wake up. No worries.

Maybe I'll do a DIY on painting. Here's mine a while ago (I've done a LOT more since then, but don't have updated pics yet). Looks good.
