Much better!! Maybe it's just the pic quality, but the center console stuff looks more red-orange then the doors.Anyway, it's a whole lot better now.

that looks good, i am just about to paint that same part the same color but with krylon fusion w. some clear coat... did you clear coat? does the shift pattern look distorted?

Oh and Hob how did you get your vents off? did you have to take off the door panel?

 

yup, you are gonna need to take the panel off or youll get over pray all over the door! its only 7 screws (if you include the ones in the door handle and the door grip) and three of those clip things.

Once you get the door off youll see how to take the vents off. the 'blades' themselves pop out of the back of the ball piviot... thing...

I don't normally give people bad responses.Every once in awhile I just have an uncontrollable urge.And if you are refering to what happened lately, I went off mainly because of how poor the guy went about things.

That looks so much better man.

You should do some other small parts.

1. The pockets in the doors.

2. The dash button BLANKS.

3. The tabs on the vents that control where the air is pointing.

Maybe the ring at the TOP of the shift boot? Or do you want some new boots done?

REDZ, can you get orange? If so, its got to be with the black C/F! laugh.gif: my boot is looking so bad I wouldnt want to even mess with it. all the pleather is coming off.
also, how do you get that part off of the vents? I looked at it but I didnt want to break it...

 

The paint i used was a dual stage paint. The base and the final. No clear coat is needed. It actually doesnt look distorted at all. Its pretty sweet lookin pics do no justice. At different angles it either looks black, burgundy, or cherry. Turned out pretty nice. Fixing to start the radio surround here in a few min. Just gotta figure out what color to do the ring around the shifter and the rest of the center console. What do you all think???
