Ok, I got three of the five installed so far. I will probably do the two 15" tubes tomorrow. I put the lightening rod, on the back hatch cover, underneath the third brake light. It looks really cool, I set it to the least sensitivity so it only goes when the bass is hitting. The two 10" tubes are under my front seats. They fit perfectly along the front of the seats, on the metal plate that is underneath the cushions. I am going to order some raw blue cold cathodes, put them in acrylic tubing, and put them under the dash and in the door tray areas. I may try to find some more areas to put them as well. I like the effect I get with the neons under the seat, it is not distracting at all while I am driving. The lightening rod on the other hand..... wink1.gif
BTW, if anyone would like some 4 inch neon/cold cathodes I will build them up and sell them for $10 each. Colors available are white, blue, yellow, green, pink, and black light. An addition $5 is required for black lights. Parts will be orderd when payment is made, so your items won't ship for about 5 days after order is placed.

I used to use them in computers all the time, modding them. They used to light up the whole section of the room they were in. Anyways, after I get mine in, I will take pictures of the install and post it all in the business section.
BTW Redzman, the life expectancy on these is 30,000 hours. That's 3.5 years of continous on time.

As much as I do not like neons... I am tempted to get a pair of tubes just to hook into the interior lights.. it would be nice to see what is on the floor of the car when the doors are open. I will probably go with some LEDs there and in the bottom of the door pockets to shine on the ground so you can see where you are putting your feet.

I agree with what REDZ said... as for a switch, I'd consider using the spare change tray (one of the two) and having the switch in there. Or you could install it next to one of your existing switches if you already have one. As for LED's... I haven't gotten to like them yet. They're directional and don't really shine outward as much... and with a small trunk that would probably have stuff in it... you'll get little blue circles instead of a neon GLOW
But do as REDZ said and hide the bulbs and wires. Maybe consider having two small tubes (next step down from 10") mounting towards the back of the seats so that it shines into the floorboard of the backseat. It won't take much to light up this small space. Just an idea. This would also look good with the Door Handle LED mod and A/C halo's.

I also posted my Door Handle and Windows Switch LED Mods here in our very own DIY section 8)
