Putting my amp and sub in. How do you pull out the CD deck to get to get to the back of the unit? I bought the car with the deck installed so I have no clue. Also is there a good spot to run the amp wiring to the battery?
I plan to do the big 3 while I'm at it too.

Is it a factory deck? For my deck, i had a couple of screws holding it in near the face. Helps more to get the center dash area off first. As for amp power, I ran mine through a grommet in the trunk and secured along the inside of the frame rail until the engine bay. There is a rubber plug that you can cut in the trunk under the spare tire.

U will most likely have to take off the middle dash and you will find screws holding the radio in. As for the power wire I ran mine under the hood and driver side fender (you can run it thru the fire wall) then I ran it underneath the interior trimming and up behind the back seat.

Its an aftermarket deck. How do you get the surround off and the center dash off? I don't see any screws or anything.
And good idea running the power wire outside the car...never thought of that before! Probably much easier than tearing up the interior to run it there.

Carefully lift up on the shifter surround. It snaps in. pry it up from the top corner using your fingers, then the other corner.
Next, pull the center radio surround outward towards the shifter.
If it's an auto, you may have to put it in neutral. I remember also having to mess with the ash tray, opening it half way I think so it would slide out unobstructed.

Sweet, thanks so much!
Has anybody done the big 3 with 0gauge wire before? Just wondering where you guys bolted up the wires (where on the engine block/chassis/alternator)? Thanks.

Got the amp/sub installed last night, just took a few hours. Ran the power wire through the big grommet in the drivers side (I think its the same grommet that the ecu wiring passes through the fender).
Only problem is I couldn't find that great of a ground location in the trunk. I just used the rear seat belt bolt/bracket that's by the spare tire area. But it's all painted, so I need a better place. The amp turns on, but I'm not sure if it's risky to run with a bad ground.
Where did you guys ground your amps to?
