Get some self drilling screws and make your own... that way you can get a nice flat spot.. make sure you put 2 screws in it the 1 thru the hole and the other thru the body of the ring terminal..

Seat bolts are bad due to the poor contact area provided.. people think the bolt gives them a good earth... you are only ever using half the threads due to a bolt working in tension.. add to that you are using bolt holes in the floor so there is no limit to the amount of crud that could be in the thread of that bolt hole...

Do it properly screw it in to a flap spot...

Almost any bolt hole will do. Sand to the metal, apply dielectric grease to prevent corrosion, and tighten it back down to factory specs for whatever bolt it is you removed to install the ground.

Got her fixed up. I just used the spare tire hole as well. Got a new 12mm bolt/washer and sanded down the paint. All is well now.

I didn't want to go drilling in the trunk since the gas tank covers the majority of the area. Thanks all!

Actually the gas tank is more under the rear seat, but whatevs...

That spot should ground just fine, as would most any bolt hole when properly sanded.

What's wierd is the sub only hits when I fade towards the front using the stereo controls. Normall you would have to fade to the rear to get the sub to kick in. Would that mean my RCA cables are mixed up (between red/white) or mixed up input/output RCA on the amp? But it is some cheapass Boss head unit, so who knows.

I really need to start looking for an Alpine deck.
