Dtn, to elaborate what I was saying, I meant spl in "spl comps". Because the cap doesn't allow the amp to get the surge needed to achieve the highest possible spl reading. Have you ever seen a crazy ass SPL Car with capacitors? I have never. This guy was running a new 17000wrms amp with no cap, just a few batteries. I know what caps are and do, and btw you don't need them with a good amp as it has a pretty big filter stage with plenty of capicatance. I'm not going to even argue.
