Ok, I put in the gauges and I wire them into the dimmer switch. Problem is, the gauges only light up 50% of the time. I know I have them spliced right because I'm not an idiot. It's stupid shit like this that pisses me off and makes me not want to mod my car. Any ideas whatsoever?

those transformers are sometimes crappy. shake it when they are on to see if it is a bad transformer. also check your splices really good. pinch them down with pliers when the gauges are on to see if that affects them. how did you splice them? you should probably solder them to insure a good connection, or use some quick inline connectors.

just stripping a wire, rapping another one around it, then covering it up with electric tape isnt really a good connection.

I crimp, no problems.

Arch, can you reproduce the problem by doing something?

I crimped and recrimped about a million times. I think it may be the transformer. I turn it on, it works. I turn it back on, nothing. Is there any way to fix the transformer. I might just try pushing the wires into the transformer. Maybe something came loose. Sometimes the ghetto fixes work. Lol.
