Default How To Get Sponsored: Part 5

Once you have lined up all your sponsors as well as a shop to install everything, take pics of the project as it progresses, and send heads up letters to your sponsors. If you have proposed that your project will take 6 months (as an example), send a letter every month. If you proposed that the project would take 2 months, send a heads up letter every 3 weeks or so. A good rule of thumb is to send notice when the project is 25% done, 50% done, 75% done, and then 100% complete. If you fall behind in schedule, let your sponors know. Just make sure to never keep anything from them. Be honest about everything. Some companies may even call you to see what needs to be done in order to put your porject back on time.

It's obvious that seeking sponsors will take alot of work, and some out of pocket expenses. In fact, not only should you pay for the design work of the project, but you should also pay for the installation to show your commitment to the project. Yeah, yeah..I know....it seems like alot of hassle right? But when the project is finished, and you have a top of the line show car or audio/video set up...you recieve an incredible sense of accomplishment. And you're on the thresh hold of getting alot of publicity for yourself. Just don't forget that IT'S YOUR CAR!!! So any features or articles written about it will include YOU. That's a nice way to get yourself known on the show circuit! wink.gif

Good luck everyone!!!!!
