you don't have to take the 3 screws off the bottom of the door panel, 2 on the front of the door, 2 on the hand rail, 1 on the door handle cup, 2 on the rear of the door.

The screws on the bottom hold the pocket to the door. The bottom is held in by plastic poppers. They tend to break, so have an extra 1 or 2 on hand.

 

oh... and I'm pretty sure our factory speakers are 6.25" not 6.5"... just don't want you to be surprised once you finally get in there.

 

no way i was told 6.5 fit F**K hopfully i can somehow make it work I got some sweet mtx tdx6502.

 

that is with all rd tibs, they have an actuator? that will unlock both doors, if you unlock drivers side, however passenger side will only unlock passenger side

sounds like your problem is somewhere on the door handle or on the handle that you use to shut the door from the inside, there should be two little black "cups" that you pull out of the big black handle and two fairly large phillips head screws in there that you unscrew, otherwise when your pulling the middle of the panel off, pull the door handle out like your opening the door and the panel should slide right off of there

as far as speakers they are 6.25" but the 6.5" will fit perfectly, you may just have to drill some new holes into the speaker mounting bracket or into the door bracket, but i do know depending on how the screw holes were drilled on the speakers that i was able to fit 3 of the 4 holes into the stock mounting without any problems

 

Correct - there is an actuator on the driver's side that will control the passenger's side, but not vice-versa.

 

This is weird but the 6.5's were too small only one of the four would go in so i put it in and drilled the other three into the plastic lol o well it worked i could have went 6.75
